Ministry Update from Kyiv: Ongoing Attacks and God's Protection
Dear Friends and Partners,
As Russia's attacks against Ukraine continue to intensify, we want to share an update from Kyiv.
In recent weeks, Kyiv has endured some of the largest aerial assaults since the war began. Overnight on June 2, another major attack targeted the capital with drones and missiles. Air raid sirens, explosions, and air defense activity have become an increasingly regular part of daily life for the people we serve.
Many of you may have seen reports about damage to cultural landmarks during an earlier massive attack on Kyiv on May 24. To clarify, the Kyiv Opera and the National Art Museum of Ukraine sustained damage—not the National Opera House, which is located across the street from Music Mission Kiev offices.
We are grateful to report that neither our offices nor the church facility where much of our ministry takes place were damaged. Once again, God has protected our staff, volunteers, and ministry locations. While each attack appears to be coming closer, our team remains committed to serving faithfully, providing hope, encouragement, spiritual care, and practical assistance to those affected by the war.
We continue to pray for:
Protection over our staff, volunteers, and ministry facilities
Safety for the members of St. Paul's Church and the families we serve
Wisdom and strength for our leadership team
Peace for Ukraine and an end to the suffering caused by this war
Your prayers, encouragement, and financial support make it possible for us to continue serving during these difficult days. We are deeply grateful for your partnership and commitment to standing with the people of Ukraine.
Thank you for helping us bring hope, share the love of Christ, and change lives during this critical time.
With gratitude,
Greg Kannon, CEO
