Military Widow Victoria Z.

Our ministry partners, Vasyl and Valentyna, received a call from a sister in faith who asked them to support a young military widow named Victoria Z.

In 2014, Victoria's first husband, a volunteer military medic in Donbass, was reported missing in action. Victoria searched for him for a long time, and his body was identified with the help of DNA analysis. From her first marriage, Victoria has a son who dropped out of school (He was only 9 years old when his father died).

A year ago, Victoria met Serhiy, a Donbas war veteran and former reconnaissance. Like Victoria, he had suffered a difficult life. They became close and had a wonderful year together, making plans for the future. Serhiy hit it off with Timur, Victoria's son. He was like a father to the boy.

Unfortunately, both Victoria and Serhiy fell ill with the Coronavirus. Victoria recovered, but Serhiy died and Victoria and Timur experienced the pain of loss again. They were confused, uncertain about the future.

Victoria is a singer. Before the lockdown, she worked hard and performed a lot of concerts. But when the pandemic hit, she lost her job. We sent a few of her vocal recordings over to Vika, and they will be meeting soon and might even audition for the KSOC.

Valentyna K. and Oksana visited Victoria and brought her food. They also testified about the Lord, that He is the One who gives us hope and support. Only He has all the answers, but we won’t find explanations for everything in this life.

Victoria showed interest in the Bible, so they promised to gift one to her. She also expressed a desire to join a Bible study group. Let's hope the Lord will use us to change Victoria's life and allow us to support her in such a difficult period.

Pray that the Lord will bless us in this.
