Visit with Valentina P.

When we arrived at Valentina’s, she was already standing on the doorstep and waiting. She hospitably invited us into the house. There was pain, emptiness, and sin in the house. There was no light of God.

We began to get to know each other. We learned Valentina is 67 years old, and she had three children (two daughters and a son). When her one daughter was about 20 years old, she threw herself out of the ninth-floor window and died. Her son died of vodka two years ago. Valentina only has one daughter left, and they rarely communicate. Her daughter drinks sometimes.

We wept together, and Valentina began to talk about her guilt. This was the perfect opportunity for us to talk about forgiveness and salvation from the Lord! We talked about the Love of God, about the Kingdom of Heaven, and about death! We invited her to reconcile with God, and Valentina answered quickly, “YES! YES! YES! I WANT TO REPENT!!!”

We began to pray, and Ira shared that she has not heard that kind of sincerity in repentance for a long time. This woman remembered everything and said “forgive!” and “sorry!” When she prayed, we felt the Light of God filled her house! It is such a miracle when a lost sheep returns to Him! Heaven rejoiced, and we rejoiced, glorifying our heavenly Father!
