This will be our third “Helping Hands” Mission trip. The overall purpose of this trip is to make a visible difference in the lives of the Widows and Orphans of Kiev by sharing the love of Christ through “hands-on” ministry. Our team of “six” volunteers will help with some household chores, i.e. clean windows, wash curtains, scrub floors, & general cleaning of our widow’s apartments. We will also spend time just visiting with them and listening to their “stories.” This year we also are spending an entire day to work at Orphanage #22 and do some landscaping as well as painting.
The team will be participating in all the widow ministry activities including Heart to Heart ministry, Evangelism Explosion training, Stephen’s Ministry class and a Bible class. In addition we will be assisting Valentina in packing and distributing the widow’s weekly food packages.

Our schedule includes sitting in on the Children’s Music Club class, and attending worship services on Sunday afternoons at St. Paul’s Evangelical church. There will also be ample time for us to stroll the streets of Kiev and see the spectacular Cathedrals as well as take an excursion to The Lavra & Cave Monastery. Overall, it should be an unforgettable journey for us to share God’s love and to serve the widows and orphans.
