Why they need your help:
In Ukraine, women, age 55, and men, age 60, are forced to retire and live on a meager pension of $60-75 per month. To make matters worse, the government demands $40 or more back from them for the use of their apartment. This cost plus the cost of electricity and telephone (if they have one) means that there is little money for food, and today's cost of food rivals U.S. prices. How does one live?

Music Mission Kiev provides weekly food packets and medicine for over 300 pensioners, many of whom are widows. This material help and loving Christian witness helps these elderly people to survive. They have already survived starvation, war, Stalin's camps, and an economic collapse when the Soviet Union fell. Today we are their hope for survival. We can only help them, because you as Americans help us.


How to become a sponsor:
$50 a month will provide food and medicine for one of these dear people. Already 300 have been adopted in our Adopt-A-Widow program. Others are waiting for your loving response.

When you sponsor a widow, you will receive a packet about them, reports about their lives twice a year, personal letters translated for you, extreme gratitude from a precious soul, and the satisfaction that you have responded to God calling, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…" James 1:27


Statistics:
Of the 300 widows/pensioners presently in our program:
--  250 have prayed to receive Christ through Music Mission Kiev
-- 200 have joined the Church (where they have opportunity to grow in their Christian faith), and
-- 150 have been trained in personal evangelism to reach others for Christ.
