This unique ministry touches the hearts of children in the public school classroom as an after-school program. During the Communist era, almost all children belonged to the "Pioneer Clubs" which taught them how to become good Communists.
Upon graduation they were inducted into the Communist party. With the fall of the Soviet Union, this system of indoctrination collapsed. Music Mission Kiev saw the need and opportunity to fill this vacuum with the love of Christ. The CoMission Project in the 90's was used by God to present the Jesus Film in the schools of Ukraine and, as a result, many teachers became Christians.
MMK was able to hire these teachers to help with the Christian Children's Clubs, and they, with the permission of principals and parents, taught the following classes to the students: Bible lessons--all children must participate in this - plus the electives: music, art, English, and computer training.
At present a Christian ethics class is taught in the public schools, and we are focusing on teaching children through MMK's Christian Music Club program, music camps, as well as Sunday school classes offered at St. Paul's Evangelical Church.
