Our Calling

Music Mission Kiev is committed to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to and through Ukrainian musicians to the world. In our concerts, we share the message of rich sacred texts, which have the power to transform lives.

This multi-faceted ministry has a unique opportunity not only in Ukraine, but other countries of the former Soviet Union as well. Through the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, we have an open door into many former USSR countries, which are closed to missionaries, but open to our musicians.

When we present Handel’s Messiah in the Russian language to these predominantly Moslem areas, we are sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. We employ talented poets, musicians, and translators to produce hymnals and translate sacred masterpieces into the Russian and Ukrainian languages.

Our humanitarian efforts have grown outward from the Ukrainian musicians to widows, orphans, and children of Ukraine.

In our widows program, we care for the whole person, providing not only food, clothing, and medicine, but also spiritual nourishment through evangelism, Bible studies, care-giving to the homebound, prayer groups, and a pensioners’ choir. With orphans, we provide Bible lessons in the orphanage, a music club, and a summer camp experience which brings us closer to their hearts. With the children, we have vocal and instrumental  Lessons, performances with the KSOC, and a summer music and bible camp.

In Soviet times, Ukraine was known as the “breadbasket” due to its rich soil. Today the seeds of the Gospel are growing in this good soil and bearing fruit that can once again be shared with the Ukrainian society and Russian-speaking nations. We hope that you will be blessed by God’s work in Ukraine and join with us through your prayers and support.

Mission Statement:

The purpose of Music Mission Kiev is to bring the sacred masterpieces of classical music to the country of Ukraine, proclaiming the Gospel to and through Ukrainian musicians to the world--and ministering to the emerging Christian community in Ukraine through evangelism, discipleship, and humanitarian outreach to widows and orphans.

Vision Statement:

Our Vision is to reach the people of former Soviet Union beyond the borders of Ukraine, to disciple new believers, and prepare those who are called to be missionaries/Christian leaders throughout Eastern Europe.

Statement of Faith:

We Believe: That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

In one God, the Creator, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

That Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and that He was and remains true God and true man.

That God created Adam and Eve in the divine image; that they sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that, as a result of Adam’s sin, all human beings are now born with a sinful nature and stand guilty before God.

That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.

In the blessed hope of the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Savior, Jesus Christ.

That the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life to all believers, enables them to understand biblical truth, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness. In the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost
